DESCRIPTION
The Approach Art Association was founded in 1995; its main goal is to integrate young artists into the national and international artistic environment. The Association is operating two private galleries and a studio building. Besides the exhibition programs they regularly organise professional workshops, artistic programs outside the gallery, symposiums.
The first AiR program was started in 2008. With support of the European Culture Capital Pécs 2010 Programme the newly established Pécs Artist in Residence Program will host 6 Artists in Residence within Januar-Aprl 2010 and organise a final exhibition in the end of participation period 2010 in Pécs additional to individual presentations.
The condition of involvement in the program is producing new works of art that correspond to the "Temporary City" guidelines (please check deadlines for details). Approach Art Association primarily encourages intermedial type of works from the participants (installation, video art, action art, ...).
Technical Information:
Technical stage rehearsals (with technical supervision and support), daily professional open class, specialist advice in project funding, project management, press and public relations.
Studio Information: Studio space (from 63 to 173 sqm)

Application Criteria:
Applications should include:the completed application form, a detailed covering letter, curriculum vitae and project description, a demonstration video (PAL) or DVD of the applicant's own work.
