DESCRIPTION:
Sturt Craft Centre invites high profile makers from a wide range of contemporary crafts and art practices each year as part of the Artist in Residence Program. It is ideal for established craftspeople from Australia and overseas who see a need to invigorate their practice, expand their contacts and interact with other makers within the stimulating environment of Sturt.
Accommodation Information: Accommodation and the use of studio facilities are provided in exchange for thirty hours teaching. Teaching may take the form of a five-day workshop, or several one-day courses.
Paid by host: The Residency program is funded by Friends of Sturt and also from external sources and a stipend may be available to the artist.
Duration: A Residency is generally for a period of three months, although this is negotiable.
