OPEN CALL

WHAT: Leighton Artists' Colony for Independent Residencies at the Banff Centre
WHERE: Banff, Alberta, Canada
DEADLINE: Ongoing
WHO: Artists worldwide

Set amid the spectacular backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, The Banff Centre's Leighton Artists' Colony offers professional artists an opportunity for concentrated work in an exceptional environment. These nine distinct studios, each designed by a Canadian architect, are located in a secluded wooded area of The Banff Centre. The studios offer a concentrated, retreat environment to professional artists engaged in the creation of new work.

Each studio has a private view of the forest and is equipped with a computer with printer, email, and internet access, kitchenette and washroom, and comfortable furnishings. The studios appeal to a variety of disciplines, and some are large enough to accommodate collaborative projects. Artists with a professional standing in their field and emerging artists of promising talent are encouraged to apply.
