WHAT: Artist Residency at Mus’Art Gallery
WHERE: Kumbo, Cameroon

Artists from other countries are invited to take up residencies at Mus'Art Gallery in Kumbo, Cameroon. This is a new artist residency program introduced to enable the museum interact with international artists. The museum is looking for motivated, talented young artists (24 to 35 years old) interested to participate in the residency program. The residency program runs for three months, except for the 4th Quarter Program, which is 2 months 10 days. During the residency artists are expected to produce works at the museum site. One work produced during the residency shall be donated to the museum. The work should be representative of the Grass-fields region of Cameroon. Up to three artists can participate during each quarter. Schedule is as follows:

Calendar for Residencies: Artist Residency @ Mus'Art Gallery, Cameroon
+ 1st Quarter Program 5th January to 5th April (application deadline 30th November)
+ 2nd Quarter Program 10th April to 10th July (application deadline 28th February)
+ 3rd Quarter Program 15th July to 15th October (application deadline 31st May)
+ 4th Quarter Program 20th October to 30th November (application deadline 31st August)

Eligibility: Non-Cameroonian artists of both sexes ages (24 to 35 years old).

Application Procedure:
Apply by e-mail before the deadline for the quarter you are interested in. Send 5 photos of your works with your Curriculum Vitae. A motivation statement of not more than one page stating why you are interested in the artist residency and how the residency will assist you in further building on your career as an artist.

1. Registration fee USD 50.00 (for those accepted to the residency)
2. Housing (Room, Water, Electricity) USD 300.00 (duration of residency)
3. Artists invited are responsible for their food and other expenses such as health needs.
