Do you appreciate nature, fresh air, clear water and silence? Would you like to come and see the peaceful and inspiring Finnish countryside? Come to stay and work at the countryside Manor House Hovinkartano Art Exhibition Centre, near the town of Hameenlinna in Southern Finland.
Our Artitsts´ Residency Program takes place from the 1st of June to the 31st of August.
There are three bedrooms for artists´use in an old-fashioned guesthouse set in large garden area and a small cottage for a couple or a family. There are two open studios to work in and the Art Exhibition Centre is open for visitors daily 11am –5pm. The showers and WC facilities are new and in separate building from residency. Our main gallery has internet connections, but you need to bring your own laptops. If they so wish, the artists may put up their own exhibition in some of our galleries, which should be confirmed in advance.
Accommodation and studio space costs: 120 € per person per week (from Sunday afternoon till Sunday morning). All costs are inclusive, sheets, towels etc. Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, and dinner for 25 € /a day.
We will pick you up from Helsinki-Vantaa airport (130 km). Also, we will help each artist on visits to local village and the nearby town centre as well as places of interest, and arrange shopping for materials.
