Call out for artists; SUBVERSIVE CORRESPONDENCE
Broadwalk Arts Space Bristol, UK. 19th July 2009 to 24th July 2009. (Possible touring exhibition)
Call for artists, writers, thinkers and researchers whose works explore the idea of connectivity, correspondence and/or dialogue. Work that, perhaps, subverts the usual electronic and digital methods of communication or question why dialogue is important? This interpretation could be as simple as a ‘message in a bottle’, dialogue systems or - in the likes of James Lee Byers - ornate, decorative and detailed sculptural letters. It could encounter political statements or disperse cultural observations. Gallery owners are welcome to express their interest in hosting this show in their venue.
