Pilchuck Glass School's Annual Auction

Call for Submissions
 
Pilchuck Glass School's Annual Auction is one of Seattle's premier fundraising events attended by over 700 high profile patrons, artists, and community leaders from the Northwest and nationwide. It is a leading showcase for glass created by artists from around the world. In its 35th year, the event features more than 350 artworks and funds raised support the school's dynamic educational programs. New this year, Pilchuck will showcase a new jewelry section in the Silent Auction and are also accepting works from jewerly artists.
Join their community of supporters by donating to the 35th Annual Auction Gala on October 18, 2013.

Seattle, WA seeks atmospheric or weather-related artwork


Seattle, WA - Artwork depicting weather-related or atmospheric phenomena for Seattle Public Utilities' art collection

Eligibility: open to professional artists residing in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, Montana, Idaho or Alaska.
Seeking two-dimensional or three-dimensional artwork depicting weather-related or atmospheric phenomena for a competitive, direct purchase for SPU's Portable Works Collection. The rotating collection is exhibited throughout the utilities' offices, engaging both employees and the public by helping to create an interesting and diverse work environment.

Artwork should reference air, water, temperature or light and may or may not be representational. All types of media will be considered. Artists working in color are encouraged to apply.

To apply, artists may submit up to 10 images of artworks that are available for purchase. Multiple artworks by an individual artist may be purchased.
Deadline: 11 p.m. PST 1/28/13
Budget: $125,000 for all artworks is available for the direct purchase.

e4c's Annual Media Artwork Exhibition (4Culture – Seattle)

Open Call for US Artists

Deadline: Wednesday, June 20, 2012.
e4c, 4Culture’s electronic gallery, is an annual program dedicated to presenting exhibitions by artists working in media, living in the United States. Artists working in all media genres are encouraged to apply. Up to sixteen media works or media proposals will be selected for presentation through this public, gallery for a period of up to one year. Due to the transitory nature of the audience, works between 1-5 minutes are desired.

Selected artists will work with the e4c program manager to adapt selected work for optimal presentation. e4c utilizes software with a time-line interface, which is distributed through a network to the display monitors and speakers. The selected artists will also work with the e4c program manager to create promotional materials. Each selected artist will receive a modest honorarium to help defray expenses. The artists retain all rights of the works submitted.

e4c is located adjacent to Gallery4Culture facing Prefontaine Place South in Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood. e4c consists of four, LCD monitors and two speakers mounted to face the exterior of the building, broadcasting sights and sounds to passers-by. Visible by foot, bike, car or bus to more than 20,000 people each day, e4c exhibits selected artworks from regional and national artists, on rotation, from 7 am - 10 pm, daily. In conjunction with Gallery4Culture, e4c launches selected works for display during First Thursday Art Walk, Seattle’s largest art walk. Promotion includes a monthly press release, website updates and a postcard mailer.
