Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program

Call for Applications

Application Deadline: October 15, 2012 (for 2012-13 program)

The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program is a distinguished transatlantic initiative that each year offers twenty accomplished young Americans the opportunity to complete a comprehensive 9-to-12 month professional development program in Germany.

Program Benefits
-Two high-level work phases at leading German institutions, customized to fellow’s interests.
-Three seminars across Europe, each lasting several weeks and covering issues of German, European and transatlantic concern
-Up to seven months of intensive German language training both in the U.S. and Germany
-Monthly stipend of EUR 2,000 (tax-free in Germany) from September through May
-Accommodation and roundtrip travel (from U.S. points only) for Washington, D.C. orientation program
-Financial support for an accompanying spouse and children, including 50% of travel costs, supplemental living stipend, health insurance, and limited funding for language training
-Flights to and from Germany
-Membership in the Robert Bosch Found

Eligibility:
Candidates for the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program must meet the following requirements:

  • U.S. citizen
  • 23–34 years old at the application deadline
  • Graduate degree preferred , and at least two years of relevant work experience in business administration, journalism, law, public policy, international relations, or related field;
  • Bachelor's degree holders should have approximately five years of relevant experience
  • Evidence of outstanding professional performance and community involvement
