Greatmore Studios invites applications from mid-career artists from all over the world for the first Visiting Artists Programme of 2013 (January – March). The aim of the Visiting Artists Residency is to facilitate cultural exchange and creative dialogue by bringing together artists from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds in a creative and interactive working environment in Woodstock, Cape Town.
Visiting Artists are obliged to interact with the permanent residents, give a presentation of their work and participate in an outreach programme. The residency includes accommodation, studio space, per diems, outreach and materials budget plus an exhibition at Greatmore Studios at the conclusion of the residency.
Deadline: 21st of September 2012 (ensure that all required documentation and info is included as only complete applications will be processed/reviewed)
Successful candidates will be informed on the 1st of October 2012.
Please submit the following with your application:
- Curriculum vitae and short bio in English
- Motivational letter
- Copy of your identity document/passport
- Examples of your work (3-6 images; good quality in JPEG format, slides, or photographs)
- Your profile picture
- Additional sources of funding for the residency, if any (i.e. travel funds, extra materials budget, etc)
