17th International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrazil

With significant shifts in focus and scope, reflected in a new name, the 17th International Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil opens enrollment for two different modalities of selection and prizes.

Starting with this edition, the Southern Panoramas Competitive Exhibition will accept work of various natures: video, installation, performance, printed objects, and other artistic experiments. Enrollment is open up until March 10, 2011. In the Festival, due September 2011, the works selected will compete for a money prize and eight artist residency prizes, granted in partnership with institutions in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

On the sidelines, the 1st Videobrasil Open Studio Prize will select young artists who live in São Paulo to create artwork in collaboration with others at the premises of Casa Tomada. The works will be produced in the first half of 2011 and will comprise an exhibition within the Festival. Enrolment for the Prize will remain open until October 29, 2010.
