Six-week fall and winter residencies on the French Riviera are granted visual, performing and media artists as well as scholars, writers and composers in any stage of their career. Residencies include housing, studios and some meals. Artists are responsible for materials, travel and some food.

Irish Museum of Modern Art

Residency Program
The Museum's Artists' Residency Program is a studio / residency program that is intended to provide opportunities for artists to research and develop their work practice, and is open to artists of all nationalities working in any medium, by application or invitation. The program emphasizes the working process rather than the finished product and enables artists to explore new ideas and ways of working in the context of the developing identity of the Museum and its various programs. Arts Network Asia

Grants
NA supports projects that are carried out by Asian artists, residing in Asia; projects that are to be initiated and implemented in Asia, engaging with Asian artists and arts communities; and projects that maintain a focus on Southeast Asia. ANA will consider projects that encourage provocative exchanges and collaborations between and among various cultures and communities within Asia.

ANA grants range from US$1,500 for each project, and is open to supporting existing or new projects. Follow-up proposals on past projects supported by ANA can also be accommodated.

IMPORTANT PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION

One-A4 page proposal enclosed with a 200-word bio/profile in PDF format MUST be submitted via the ANA website (www.artsnetworkasia.org) from 15 October 2008 and no later than 15 November 2008. This can be written in English or a language of your choice (Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Lao, Sinhalese, Tamil, Thai, and Vietnamese). The one-A4 page proposal should include information on the content, philosophy and intention of the project. An applicant is only allowed to submit ONE application.

The Camargo Foundation Residency in France

Residency Program
The Camargo Foundation welcomes applications from composers, writers, and visual artists pursuing specific projects and from scholars pursuing studies in the humanities and social sciences relating to French and francophone cultures. Qualified candidates from all countries and nationalities are encouraged to apply. The interdisciplinary residency program is intended to give fellows the time and space they need to realize their projects. The Foundation's hillside campus overlooks the Mediterranean Sea in Cassis, France; it includes thirteen furnished apartments, a reference library, and three art/music studios. Fellows are provided with accommodation on campus and a stipend of $2,500. Residencies are one semester (either early-September to mid-December or mid-January to the end of May).

Rijksakademie Research Residency in Amsterdam

The Rijksakademie Research Residency in Amsterdam is an international research and production place for talented, professional artists from all over the world. The Rijksakademie is more than a residency. It has extensive technical facilities, a library, artists' documentation and art collections. In addition the Rijksakademie offers material basic facilities such as a studio, a work budget, mediation with accommodation and grants. There are some fifty studios where resident artists work for one to two years on research, experiments, projects and production. Confrontation with diverse cultures and advice by renowned international artists, exhibition makers, theoreticians and technical specialists promote the deepening, expansion and acceleration of artistic practice. Practical experience has revealed that a work period at the Rijksakademie has the greatest effect three to five years after graduation.

Resident artists pursue every medium and technique: painting, drawing, graphics, photography, sculpture, video, film, sound and digital media. Links with other areas are also explored such as architecture and public space, theatre, music, literature and diverse scientific disciplines.
