Join more than 60 representatives from around the world to learn about long- and short-term residency opportunities for artists, international art fairs and other global exhibition possibilities. Come to Boston to meet, network and have your work seen by the conference’s distinguished curators, critics and panelists. Polli Talu Arts Center
POLLI TALU ARTS CENTER
Polli Talu (literally, "Polly's Farm") is a traditional Estonian farm complex situated near the Baltic Sea, 150 km southwest of the capital city Tallinn, not far from the port town of Virtsu. It consists of five log buildings with thatched roofs made from locally-harvested reeds. The structures date back to the beginning of the 20th century. www.pollitalu.org The Center in Estonia is accepting applications throughout the fall of 2007 for residencies in 2008. The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery, along with its partners, supports a series of three summer Artist-in-Residence programs. The residencies at Gros Morne National Park and Terra Nova National Park are presented in partnership with Parks Canada. The residency at the Rockewell Kent house in Brigus is presented in partnership with the Landfall Trust. All three residencies are open to Canadian and international professional visual artists, working in any media.

Landfall in Brigus
The “Landfall Trust”, a non-profit committee in charge of an historic house in Brigus (the house where Rockwell Kent stayed during WWI) has become a co-sponsor with The Rooms’ Provincial Art Gallery to offer an artist-in-residency program in Brigus, Conception Bay, Newfoundland. The Brigus committee, as co-sponsor, will be the contact for living at the house and interacting with the community. The Canada Council for the Arts will be the sponsor for funding the artists’ honoraria. Provincial, national or international artists can apply for a stay of 3 weeks including the last week of June and the first 2 weeks of July 2008.

preferred length of stay, and two choices of time frame between May and October.
